2026 Sitecore Strategy MVP

The Sitecore MVP Program is all about recognising people who move the platform and its customers forward – not just by using the tech, but by sharing what they learn and helping the community get better. Strategy MVPs in particular have a very specific job: understand where Sitecore is heading, translate that into practical guidance for real organisations, and give back through sharing insights, presentations, and hands-on leadership.

This year was my third as a Sitecore Strategy MVP, and my first time attending the MVP Summit in person at Sitecore Symposium in Orlando. Being there in the room made something very clear: this space is moving fast, and you either contribute or you fall behind. As one of only two Strategy MVPs in Australia in 2025 (yes, it’s a small club), I try to make sure I’m doing my bit.

To help anyone considering their own MVP application, I’ve outlined what I included in my 2026 submission. It’s not meant to impress – just to give a realistic sense of the level of contribution needed.

Here’s what went into my 2026 Strategy MVP submission:

  • Eleven blog posts across AI readiness, XM Cloud optimisation, metadata, analytics, and the whole “post-click” shift in digital strategy
  • A hands-on workshop at Sitecore Symposium 2025, plus two Partner Theatre sessions
  • SUGCON ANZ organising committee member and speaker
  • Speaker at Sitecore User Groups virtually, including ‘international’ appearances
  • Practical how-to guides on XM Cloud A/B testing, global content governance and localisation, and AI-supported content ops
  • Articles and presentations on Sitecore Stream, Sitecore Search, AI governance, and the rise of machine-mediated digital experience
  • A 30-question AI Readiness Assessment for download and use by Sitecore digital marketing teams
  • Strategic work with enterprise customers applying composable architecture, localisation at scale, search intelligence, and AI-driven optimisation

Why I’m sharing this:

  • To demystify what a realistic (and hopefully successful!) Strategy MVP submission looks like
  • To help upcoming strategists understand the level of contribution expected
  • To encourage more Australian strategists to throw their hat in the ring
  • And honestly, to show that Strategy MVP isn’t about producing noise – it’s about clarity, real-world impact, and helping others succeed with the platform

If you’re preparing a submission:

Focus on actual value you’ve created, not the buzzwords. Strategy MVP is for people who help the community make better decisions – less “look at me”, more “here’s something that genuinely helps”.

If you want help strengthening your contribution profile or planning for a future application, reach out. Happy to share more behind the scenes (and things that I’ve found really work for me along the way).
